1. How do I put handprints or footprints on the plates?
A: The best method is to use bright coloured stamp pads. Stay away from fluorescent colours as they blister, and pastels as they don’t show up well on the finished product.

2. Why can’t I use black?
A: Large areas of black can blister, black is also notorious for running. If you want to use black for outlining, use the fine felt tip office style pens such as Artline 200.

3. What is the tissue paper (purple/pink paper) for?
A: This is to protect drawings from colour transfer. The drawings may sweat through postage, the tissue helps prevent the colour from one drawing transferring to other drawings. When packing your drawings ready for posting, put a piece of tissue paper between each one.

4. Do I need to colour the clock numbers?
A: Yes. The outline can sometimes fade to nothing during processing. Use bright colours, avoid black as it can run.

5. Do clocks come with a mechanism?
A: Yes. All clocks are fitted with a mechanism and come complete with battery. Clock mechanisms carry a 12 month warranty.

6. Can I get more than one product from one drawing?
A: Yes. But it is more expensive. Each subsequent plate includes a reproduction fee. This is because we are doing the work instead of you doing the work. Be careful when offering this option. A second product is never cheaper than the first product.

7. Is my product dishwasher safe?
A: Yes, all melamine products are very durable and tolerate dishwashing well.

8. Is my product microwave safe?
A: NO! No products made from melamine are suitable for microwave use - the cook!

9. As a fundraiser, what does our school get?
A: Add a fundraising levy to our price when setting your parent price list. As an average, most schools add between $3.00 and $5.00 per product. When finalizing your order, you keep the levy and just send us our price per product.

10. Can I put a photo on a plate?
A: Yes – but there are a couple of ways to do it and the prices vary - see
details in pricing section, if in doubt
phone or email us (Contact
Us).

11. What kind of paper do I use?
A: You can only use the special paper that is provided in your drawing kit.

12. Is there a minimum order?
A: Minimum orders only apply to mugs and bowls. If ordering these products you must order at least 5. The minimum quantity can be made up of a combination of standard drawings, collages and reproductions. It must be 5 of the same product. You cannot combine mugs and bowls to reach the minimum requirement. Where orders are for 5 products or less in total, a postage and handling fee of $16.00 will apply.

13. How long does it take?
A: This depends on the time of year. In the first half of the year the maximum is 8 weeks from the time we receive your drawings. In the second half of the year, specific deadlines apply. Christmas manufacturing begins in September. Check our delivery schedule carefully to avoid any disappointment as deadline dates are set by our manufacturer and are not negotiable.

14. I’m not part of a school, can I still order?
A: Yes, download our private order form and send it in to purchase your drawing kit. Note that bowls and mugs are not available for individual purchase.

15. How do I send our drawings back?
A: To ensure that your drawings arrive safely and quickly use an Express Post 3kg satchel available from Australia Post. These cost around $10.00 so include this amount when calculating your fundraising levy. Express Post satchels are the best option because they are plastic – keeps the drawings dry, they seal securely – reducing risk of damage to parcel and drawings, they are numbered – don’t forget to keep the tracking sticker and even in areas that are outside the ‘next business day’ network, they are still faster and more secure.
